Hyundai Verna- a revamped version of the bestseller from Hyundai

Verna has been in the Indian auto market for a long time. It has added its significant contribution, along with its other family members namely Santro, Grand i10, Elite i20 and Creta, in making the Hyundai domestic sale rise up to 5% at 42,093 units in December 2018

Verna is one of the most popular sedans of Hyundai for various reasons such as value for money, comfy ambience, numerous features and utmost comfort.

Look wise, it is gentle and fluid. The silhouette is nearly the same as you can’t notice any significant change in outer design. However, the Hyundai has managed to come up with some impressive and useful features that revitalize its older models. Even though this face is familiar to the people, the simple but careful changes could be visible once you pay a careful attention to it. Verna is now run on the K2 platform which make it larger along with giving it a mature and gentle look. You will not find too much of drama in its design though as it is meant to use as a family car. Talking about its interior, Toyota has always been known for making its interior superior and you can notice it in Verna as well. It has a dual-tone dashboard made up with fine quality plastic that seems a bit garish. Verna has made the interior the driving-centric as you can find the pilot seat much more comfortable and adjustable. The most important noticeable feature is the 7 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Android Auto, Apple car play and MirrorLink for the integration of your smartphone for navigation, audio and other interesting features.

Apart from this, you get 6 speakers with Smart Surround System that will jazz you up.  It has also added an Eco Coating Technology that prevent unpleasant smell from the ac evaporator.

It is equipped with comfy seats with enough legroom and knee room for your easy movement and a base to make your thigh and lumbar feel comfortable. It has a boot space of 480 L which is decent amount of space to keep your luggage even with your family included.

Moving to its performance, Verna comes with 1.6 L petrol and diesel variant and both of them show an impressive and powerful performance. The VTVT petrol engine produces a power of 123 PS and a torque of 151 Nm whereas the CRDi diesel engine generates 128 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque. Both come with 6-speed MT as well as in AT.

The Hyundai Verna mileage is 17.0 to 24.0 kmpl. The Manual Diesel variant has a mileage of 24.0 kmpl. The Automatic Diesel variant has a mileage of 22.0 kmpl. The Manual Petrol variant has a mileage of 19.1 kmpl. The Automatic Petrol variant has a mileage of 17.0 kmpl.
